Mt Duneed Estate Pinot Noir


Region: 100% Yarra Valley.

Winemaking: The Pinot Noir grapes were destemmed and crushed before a 2-day cold soak prior to fermentation.  The fermentation took place in open fermenters with hand plunging twice daily to gently extract tannins.  The wine was aged in French oak barrels for 11 months before bottling.


The cooler conditions during the ripening months of January and February 2020 meant our Pinot Noir grapes could develop slowly on the vine and retain their acidity.  The 2020 Pinot Noir has plenty of fresh red berry fruit with dark cherry and some vanilla oak on the nose.  The tannins are velvety and soft.

Occasion: As the days get shorter and nights cooler and longer, gather some friends around a bonfire and toast the autumnal months with our Pinot Noir and sausages in bread.
