Mt Duneed Estate Sauvignon Blanc


Region: Yarra Valley.  Vineyards in Dixons Creek, Chirnside Park and Healesville

Winemaking:  The grapes were destemmed and crushed before pressing.  Clean, settled juice was fermented at low temperatures to retain the fresh tropical fruit characters.  This wine is all about youthfulness and freshness so it was bottled after 8 months on fine yeast lees (which added some creaminess to the mid palate).

Yarra Valley Sauvignon Blanc is all about tropical fruit.  Passionfruit, guava, tomato bush and lemon zest on the nose.  The crisp, appley acidity is balanced by the richness of the fruit.  Wait for the crisp lime and sherbet lingering finish.

Occasion: Enjoy with friends after a day at the beach.  Pair with fish and chips or a goats cheese and asparagus tart.
