A light pink hue.
Vibrant aromas of rose petal and ripe berry fruits.
Fresh red fruits with hints of spice and currents balanced by gentle acidity.
Vintage was a mild season in the Yarra Valley with good spring rain and relatively dry February and March. Crops were excellent with the wines showing full and balanced flavour with a great depth of colour.
Fruit was destemmed, crushed and allowed to briefly rest on skins before being pressed and then fermented cool. The wine was left on lees for 4 months to gain complexity and then bottled early to retain freshness.
This is a wine that will reward cellaring over the next 3 years.
