A medium Garnet
Lifted red fruits, violets and a hint of woodland characters
Cherries and red fruits are complimented by a textured palate balanced by fine tannins and hints of French oak.
Vintage was a mild season in the Yarra Valley with good spring rain and relatively dry February and March. Crops were excellent with the wines showing full and balanced flavour with a great depth of colour.
Batch ferments of selected parcels of fruit are naturally fermented with minimal intervention, followed by extended skin contact before pressing and maturing in French oak.
This is a wine with great structure and complexity and will reward cellaring over the next 3 to 5 years.
